FINANCIAL REPORTING
The Financial Reporting Division is primarily responsible for facilitating the preparation of all financial reports for the Clerk of Courts and the Board of County Commissioners, including reporting requirements for local, state and federal agencies. The Division also coordinates with the Accounting Division in the preparation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for Highlands County.
The Division also acts as the liaison between the Clerk and Board staff and the external auditors for all County audits. It is responsible for Daily Cash Management for the Clerk and the Board of County Commissioners. Financial Reporting Division staff also attends meetings and workshops of the Board of County Commissioners, Clerk and other Constitutional Officers as needed.
In Fiscal Year 2006-2007, the Division published the County’s first Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) and received the Award of Financial Reporting Achievement for the PAFR in its first year of publication.
